Al Owais: The UAE has achieved advanced levels of global health competitiveness

His Excellency Abdul Rahman bin Mohammed Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention, affirmed that, thanks to the directives of our wise leadership, the UAE has achieved advanced levels of global competitiveness in health indicators, placing the quality of life of community members at the top of its strategic priorities. The UAE has succeeded in building a sustainable health system that enhances national leadership and ensures the sustainability of health services for present and future generations.

In a statement today, on the occasion of World Health Day, he added, "We continue to raise national standards in the health sector, achieving global competitiveness and quality of life goals through an integrated health system that combines smart and innovative services that meet the needs of all segments of society."


His Excellency noted that the health sector has achieved qualitative leaps in employing the latest emerging digital technologies and applying advanced performance indicators and modern technology in all health facilities, supporting the sustainability of the country's health leadership and competitiveness.


He stated that the Ministry of Health and Prevention and its partners in the health sector are working on an integrated strategy for preventive health and digital health empowerment, through interactive platforms and community innovation labs. He explained that the country continues to raise awareness of the "Emirates Genome" system, organ donation, and virtual health programs for families, to promote early detection and prevention of genetic diseases and ensure the building of healthy generations capable of leading sustainable development.


He pointed to the integrated institutional efforts to achieve a balance between traditional medical approaches and modern innovations, ensuring the sustainability of resources and improving health outcomes. He emphasized the importance of strategic partnerships to ensure the readiness of the health system.


His Excellency praised the efforts of the medical, technical, and professional cadres working in the health sector, who constitute the backbone of achieving the UAE Centennial 2071 vision and consolidating its position as a global center of excellence in healthcare.
